Simon Belleau's Biography
Simon Belleau is the writer and illustrator of the comic book series Challenge Chronicles and high functioning autistic.
From the young age that it was diagnosed with autism thus
Simon is a special needs individual just making things like reading and writing extremely difficult.
Back in 2009 after finishing a college course called Transitional Vocational program (TVP) times have a YouTube channel called SaiturtlesninjaNX where he tried his hand at reviewing movies, anime/manga, and making cosplay videos but the end goal was to eventually start making short films. In 2011 after reviewing Samurai Sentai Shinkenger seven came up with the idea of doing his own take on the Japanese approach to Western superheroes thus Chō Yūsha was born.
In 2014 after entering a screenplay competition for a local film Festival Simon decided to teach his concept into a comic book and to make his main character a “low functioning autistic”. But the first obstacle he had to overcome was learning how to draw and write. Being on the autistic spectrum time he often times struggles to put his thoughts into words and read them out loud so taking advice from his favorite cartoonist series. “When given two choices, always choose the harder path”. He spent the next three years teaching himself how to draw and write in order to achieve his goal. Plus also doing what he can accomplish research to understand more about autism not just what you don’t say was working accurately betray it.
